Alternative: OCPP

  1. 1

Elli Charger Connect / Charger Pro / ID.Charger Connect / ID.Charger Pro — these models speak OCPP 1.6J. Configuration is done via the wallbox's WiFi hotspot (NOT through the Elli app).

  2. 2

In ChargeReport, go to "Wallbox" tab → select "OCPP Gateway".

  3. 3

Enter a name (e.g. "VW ID.Charger Garage") → click "Create connection".

  4. 4

Copy the displayed OCPP Backend URL.

  5. 5

Activate the wallbox's hotspot mode (usually by long-pressing the button on the box — LED starts blinking).

  6. 6

Connect your phone/laptop to the wallbox's WiFi (SSID usually starts with "Elli-" or "IDC-" — password is on the box's sticker).

  7. 7

Open the wallbox's local IP in a browser (usually 192.168.4.1 or 10.0.0.1 — often opens automatically after connecting).

  8. 8

Log in with the password from the sticker card (PUK).

  9. 9

    Navigate to: Settings → OCPP.

  10. 10

Paste the copied Backend URL and set OCPP version to 1.6J.

  12. 12

Done! From now on, all charging sessions are captured in real time.

Elli Charger Pro Connect+ (OCPP 2.0.1)

  1. 1

Elli Charger Pro Connect+ (model year 2024+) — speaks OCPP 2.0.1 only. Important: this box has no OCPP menu in the local web UI. Configuration is done via the separate 'Elli Charger Configuration Manager' (Windows/Mac desktop app).

  2. 2

Download the Charger Configuration Manager — free, via Elli support (support@elli.eco) or your installer. Available for Windows and macOS.

  3. 3

In ChargeReport, go to "Wallbox" tab → select "OCPP Gateway" → enter a name (e.g. "Elli Pro Connect+ Garage") → "Create connection" → copy the backend URL.

  4. 4

Connect your computer to the same home network as the wallbox (LAN or WiFi — the wallbox must be reachable).

  5. 5

Launch the Configuration Manager. The app auto-discovers Elli chargers on the local network.

  6. 6

Click on your charger → Service login. Password is on the PUK card supplied with the charger (or ask your installer).

  7. 7

    Navigate to: Backend / OCPP.

  8. 8

Paste the ChargeReport backend URL and set OCPP version to 2.0J (or 2.0.1, depending on UI variant).

  9. 9

Click "Save and apply" — the charger reboots briefly.

  10. 10

Done! ChargeReport detects 2.0.1 automatically and negotiates the handshake accordingly. Sessions appear in the dashboard in real time from now on.

Sungrow AC Charger (AC007 / AC011 / AC022 / IH20)

OCPP

⚠️ Important: If you use a Sungrow Energy Management System (EMS) (e.g. PV surplus charging or dynamic load management), switching to OCPP disables the EMS. The wallbox will only charge via ChargeReport/OCPP, not via Sungrow Cloud. Configuration is NOT done through the iSolarCloud app, but directly via the wallbox's WiFi hotspot. Requires up-to-date firmware — update via the local web interface first if needed.

  1. 1

    Open chargereport.app and sign in.

  2. 2

Go to the "Wallbox" tab → select "OCPP Gateway".

  3. 3

Enter a name (e.g. "Sungrow Garage") → click "Create connection".

Copy the displayed OCPP Backend URL (wss://ocpp.chargereport.app/cp/…).

  5. 5

Activate the wallbox's hotspot mode (usually by long-pressing the button on the device, or via iSolarCloud app under "Local Configuration").

  6. 6

Connect your phone/laptop to the wallbox's WiFi (SSID usually starts with "SG-" or "WiNet-S" — password is on the box's sticker).

  7. 7

Open the wallbox's local IP in a browser (usually 11.11.11.1 or 192.168.10.1).

  8. 8

Log in with the installer password (default usually "111111" or on the sticker).

  9. 9

Navigate to: Settings → Communication → OCPP.

  10. 10

    Toggle "Enable OCPP" to ON.
